Does Anybody what i need to do to start my own auto repair business? Will i need to be ASE certified? I have experience working at a auto repair shop but i am not certified and know how to work on everything that is mechanical such as brakes, transmissions, engines, differentials, and suspensions. Do i need any city permits? Thanks in advance to anybody that can give me info.

I can get bearings for about , hub assembly for 0 – It’s a 2003 Ford Escape – 2wd. Front passenger bearings are the ones that are out.

I ordered "car repair for dummies" and was wondering if reading the whole book before taking the test sounds like a good idea to increase my mechanics knowledge.

auto repair said it would take four days to rebuild a transmission, now it gone on four weeks. How do I hander that?

Just have a blown head gasket, wanted to know if there was any auto repair coverage that has little to no waiting time.

Do you feel like the shop is overcharging you, misleading you, or even intentionally damaging your car? If so, would you be willing to pay for an unbiased independent diagnosis and a guarantee you’re not being overcharged? How much would you pay for such a service?

We have a 2000 saturn sc, unfortunately when we recently took it in to get the alignment fixed we found out that it has a bent frame and the alignment repair could not be completed. The tire shop suggested we take it to a body shop for repair. My husband had a bit of an oops on a patch of ice back in february and we had no idea the frame was bent because there wasn’t any body damage. We can’t claim it on insurance(long story). Can anyone give me an idea, just a ballpark figure of what this "might" cost to fix? I know it’ll depend on the extent of the damage but any ideas or experiences would be helpful. I don’t want to faint when we get our real repair estimate.
my insurance isn’t refussing to pay for it, we can’t file a claim because the car wasn’t on our policy at the timne, it was on my parents because they still legally owned the car at the time but its on ours now and we have the title. its just one of those situations

I want to include a 30 day labor only warranty for all my jobs.

is it legal for me to make up my own contract and
have the client read it before they sign it so they understand

My brother and I are opening an auto repair business. What is one good computer program to use to print sales invoices, estimates, record keeping ect. I need something easy to use and inexpensive.
